The five day marathon begins today and I am off to the border. This is a country with precious little information available. What there is comes from online forums and travellers met on the road.
From all accounts Internet and WiFi is not quite there yet. I guess I will know for sure when I get there. Stay tuned.

As suspected, there was no access to internet or wifi in Turkmenistan, at least not easily obtainable. The freight carrier to cross the Caspian took five days in addition to the five days of transit. Stories to be added as soon as I type them.
