The last time I was in Sub-Saharan Africa was 2016 and had promised myself I’d be back. But other parts of the globe beckoned, and little did I know it would take me this long to return.
The plan is to cut a huge semi-circle starting BOTSWANA , on through NAMIBIA, ANGOLA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO, RWANDA, UGANDA and wrap up in KENYA. Such is the dream. Each country has places that I have read and fantasized about for years. Telltale shivers run up my spine in sheer excitement. I can’t wait! There are iffy sections though – I am not at all sure of Angola and even less sure of the DRC. But I leave in a couple of days and time will tell how much of this I can manage.
