Not in the Cards

I had so wanted to visit the DRC on this trip. At least Kinshasa and if I could manage it, perhaps travel a bit in the interior. But checking around in Luanda it was a no go. The visa is finicky not to mention it requires a Letter of Invitation and I have none.

Another dream of mine is to travel down the Congo river from source to sea. How cool would that be? But it doesn’t seem likely at least on this trip. No matter, I tell myself; it’ll keep. It took me years to make the summer 2019 dream come true as well as summer of 2023.
